ADDY® Awards 2008-2009

(Macon, Ga.) The American Advertising Federation (AAF) Central Georgia presented its 2008–2009 ADDY® Awards on March 7 at downtown Macon’s SoChi Gallery.

The annual awards presentation, which is part of a three-tiered national competition conducted by the American Advertising Federation, was attended by over 60 advertising and media professionals.

Of the 75 entries received by the AAF Central Georgia, 12 gold ADDY® Awards and 18 silver ADDY® Awards were presented. Entries were judged based on creativity, originality and creative strategy.

Top awards of the evening went to the “Best of Show” winners. Burt & Burt Studio captured the Best of Show ADDY® for the “Music Matters Campaign” for the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Bright Ideas Group garnered Best of Show Electronic for “I Discovered Rock N Roll” produced for The Greater Macon Chamber. Ascension Design Group was awarded Best of Show Print for the “Manhu Designs Booklet” created for Manhu Designs.

Other ADDY® award winners include The Big Picture, SPINEN, Bright Blue Sky Productions, Tri County EMC, Third Wave Advertising, Najera Design & Associates, Imedia Group, The Walden Agency, WGXA-TV Fox 24, Haynes Marketing and Sabrina Sikora Productions.

In addition to the ADDY® competition, MAX Awards (Marketing & Advertising EXcellence) were presented to recognize outstanding marketing, advertising and media professionals in Central Georgia. The winners were:

• Best Photographer: Maryann Bates, Macon Magazine

• Best Marketing Director: Cindy Hill, Macon Arts

• Best Graphic Designer: Meagan Evans, 11th Hour

• Best Web Designer: Larry Najera, Najera Design+Associates

• Best Video Editor: Stephanie Shadden, Bright Blue Sky Productions

• Best Copywriter: Jessica Walden, Imedia Group

• Best Editor: Jessica Walden, Address Macon, Houston Magazine

• Best Videographer: Elliott Dunwody, Bright Blue Sky Productions

• Best Producer: Tabitha Walker, Big Hair Productions

• Best Sound Producer: Ben Sandifer, GMS Productions
