The American Advertising Federation (AAF) Central Georgia is a nonprofit trade association serving the Middle Georgia advertising and communications industry with members from Macon, Warner Robins and the surrounding area. The members are creative professionals that are dedicated to advertising excellence and helping businesses and non-profit organizations achieve their marketing goals.
Mission Statement
The purpose of the AAF Central Georgia is to provide and promote a better understanding of the functions of advertising and of its values; to apply the skills, creativity, and energy of the advertising industry to advance the standards of advertising; to support voluntary self-regulation; and to promote good fellowship and a free exchange of ideas.
History
AAF Central Georgia was founded in 1975. With over two decades of excellence, AAF Central Georgia provides its members with professional development, education, legislative support and superior programming, like the AAF Central Georgia ADDY® Awards. It is our goal to engage our members by providing topical luncheons and exciting social opportunities.
Affiliation
The AAF Central Georgia is affiliated with the American Advertising Federation (AAF) – the only national organization which represents all segments of the advertising industry through a national network of professionals from over 220 advertising clubs and federations. Membership sections include: corporate membership, including some 145 major corporations; an inter-association council, involving over 23 related trade groups; and an academic segment, made up of professors and students from over 220 colleges and universities with advertising curricula. Collectively, AAF represents over 52,000 advertising professionals joined together to achieve a common purpose – to promote, protect, and defend advertising interests. Established in 1904 by local advertising executives. Incorporated non-profit organization operated by six executive officers and sixteen to twenty other board members/directors. Directors are either connected with a business affiliated with advertising, in public relations, or at a university that teaches advertising.
