About the Speaker
Kerry Farrell started her career in advertising at the print production and copywriting end of the field. After many years, several awards and a leap of faith, she moved on to experience the broadcast and electronic media aspects of the business.

For three years, Kerry was the Director of Public Relations for a United Way non-profit agency, and handled all aspects of creating award-winning public service announcements. During this time she also engaged the community in charitable giving through a series of TV and radio commercials that she wrote and produced on behalf of the United Way Food Bank.

An opportunity in late 2006 afforded Kerry the opportunity to combine her love of the written word, an interest in graphic design, and her passion for marketing into one job. She now owns and operates Dothan’s largest event-planning and consulting firm, The Main Event, and her maverick marketing skills have caused quite a stir in the community.

Kerry is the past-president of the American Advertising Federation of Dothan, and has served on that board since 2004. She has been cajoled into serving as ADDY chair more than once, and has judged several shows. Additionally, she has been involved as photography judge for the National Peanut Festival photography contest.

Kerry is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida. Kerry currently resides in Dothan, Alabama with her husband of 20 years, Dan, and their daughter, Calypso and son, Blaze.

Thank you to our official location sponsor Hotplates Restaurant Group
